As we approach the end of another worshipping year and prepare to enter a new one, it is an appropriate time to reflect on the long-heritage mission of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The following interconnected observations are an invitation for a collective reflection and constructive dialogue.

“I thank God for giving me such a father, and for never once saying, ‘Dear child, we have so many difficulties and struggles. Do not become a priest; instead, go somewhere, get a job, and take care of us.”

A family is like a fragile glass vessel—if it falls, it is likely to shatter. Keeping it unbroken is our responsibility. Family is the speed governor God has provided to prevent haste and its resulting busyness from disrupting His divine plan.

The Church and families must take 'digital inclusion' seriously and transform technology into a 'digital bridge' that connects generations, communities, and the marginalised.

Rhoda becomes a sign of a transformed household. The household becomes a space of inclusion— not merely because of biological relationships or legally defined bonds, but because of a community formed through belonging, faith, care, and participation.

സമീപകാല കുടിയേറ്റക്കാരുടെ അനിശ്ചിയമായ നിയമപദവി മുതല്‍ രണ്ടാം തലമുറയിലും മൂന്നാം തലമുറയിലുംപ്പെട്ട വിശ്വാസ സമൂഹങ്ങളുടെ സാംസ്കാരികവും ആത്മീയവുമായ ഏകീകരണം വരെയുള്ള ബഹുമുഖ വെല്ലുവിളികളെ സഭ അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍, സഭ അതിന്‍റെ ദൗത്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സജീവമായി പുനര്‍വിചിന്തനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

ഏതൊരു ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തോടെ ദൈവാലയങ്ങളും അതിലെ ആചാര അനുഷ്ഠാനങ്ങളും സ്ഥാപിതമായോ അതില്‍ നിന്ന് വ്യതിചലിച്ച് അത് കച്ചവടത്തിന്‍റെയും ധനമ്പാദനത്തിന്‍റെയും ചൂഷണത്തിന്‍റെയും ഇടമാകുമ്പോള്‍ അവിടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണം ആവശ്യമാണ്.

കുട്ടികളുടെ അവകാശങ്ങള്‍ സംരക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ഒരു സമൂഹത്തിന് ഭാവിയില്ല. അവകാശങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് സുരക്ഷിതരായ, രാഷ്ട്രീയബോധമുള്ള, സ്വതന്ത്ര മായി ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമേ വരും നാളെകളുടെ അധിനിവേശത്തെ ചെറുത്തുതോല്പിക്കുവാന്‍ കരുത്തുണ്ടാവൂ.

ഇടയ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ ആദ്യ വെല്ലുവിളി ദൈവം നമ്മെ ഏല്‍പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് പുറത്തുവിടാനുള്ള, എറി യാനുള്ള ധൈര്യമാണ്. എബ്രായ ക്രിയാപദമായ ഷാലക് 'അയയ്ക്കുക', 'വിടുക' അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ 'എറിയുക' എന്നാണ് അര്‍ത്ഥമാക്കുന്നത്. അപ്പം വെള്ളത്തിന് മുകളില്‍ വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, അയക്കപ്പെടുന്നു അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ എറിയുന്നു. ഒഴുകുന്ന വെള്ളം വലിയ അനി ശ്ചിതത്വത്തിന്‍റെയും ആകുലതകളുടെയും പ്രതീകമാണ്.
